BUCKINGHAM PALACE GARDEN PARTY!

Stop press! The WI has been awarded a Centenary Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in the afternoon of Tuesday 2 June! One member from every WI in Avon may attend, at their own expense. The garden party itself costs £25, and a seat on a specially chartered WI coach will cost a further £16 (total £41). The allocation of one member per WI is strict, and the lucky Clifton WI representative will be chosen by ballot at the end of the meeting on Wednesday 25 March. If you want to apply you must let Lorna, Clifton WI Secretary, know at the next meeting, or if you can't make it then you need to email  thecliftonwi@gmail.com  by 6pm on the day of the meeting. The winning member's cheque, payable to AFWI, must accompany the form which Lorna will give to the winner to forward.

Could you use £10K?

Then make sure you buy a ticket for the NFWI Centenary Raffle to be in with a chance of winning this or one of seven other exciting prizes! Lorna will have tickets for sale (£1) at the next few meetings. The draw will be made on 11 September.

March meeting

Jenny Gaschke, Curator of Fine Art, gives an illustrated introduction to the forthcoming Hogarth exhibition at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery. This exhibition will feature material on loan from the Tate Gallery which is a great privilege as these works have not been allowed out before! Hogarth's work was a major influence for many current artists, including David Hockney, so come and find out more. Full details on the "next meeting" page on this website.
